The basis of the curriculum at St. Justin, Martyr School lies in Catholic theology. Jesus is our master teacher. The home -school - church partnership is very strong in our community. Our school’s two parish priests, Father Joe and Father Jorge make it possible to have not only frequent celebrations of the Eucharist, but also many classroom clergy visits throughout the year. Parents are always invited to celebrate Mass with us.
Character Building in our Catholic Schools
Catholic Virtue for December – Hope/Optimism
I will keep a positive attitude despite my troubles
I will look on the brighter side of situations
I will seek opportunities in the face of adversity.
With God’s help, I will never give up hope.
Students will continue to be acknowledged monthly with a certificate for showing good character and demonstrating our Catholic virtues.
Luke 4:18 Social Justice Committee Update
Thank you to our Luke 4:18 students for their part in wrapping and organizing the Care and Share boxes for the many needy families in our community. During the weeks before Christmas and at our Family Advent Mass, the students also sold hand made jewellery, made by woman of Uganda. $1500.00 was made. Amazing!
This money will be used to purchase a maize grinding mill. This new addition will save the orphanage/boarding school over $570.00 a month. It would cost them that much to travel to the nearby village and pay someone else to grind their maize. These initiatives are part of our school focus this year to support our own community as well as a global community as our commitment to Free the Children. Thank you for your generosity.
Feel the Spirit, get involved, make a difference!

Sacraments are, first and foremost, acts of Jesus in union with the members of His body, the Church. The Church, therefore, is responsible for determining the specifics of sacramental preparation and celebration. While the school assists in the preparation for sacraments through the assigned religious education program, the celebration of all sacraments is a parish event. It is the responsibility of parents to participate and work in conjunction with their parish community in the sacramental preparation of their children.
